The annual Cecchetti Classical Ballet Awards bring together in one high profile event, the Cecchetti Children’s Awards, the Mabel Ryan Awards, the Barbara Geoghegan Award and the Fewster Cecchetti Scholarship.   The Awards take place at the Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadler's Wells and attract a very high level of entry.   Reviews and Photos of the 2012 Awards and further information about each of these awards can be found at Classical Ballet Awards

The Awards this year will take place on 23rd & 24th November 2013 and will include the UK selection for the 2014 Cecchetti International Ballet Competition - see below.

CICB International Ballet Competition
A World Class Competition for Young Dancers

The Cecchetti International Classical Ballet (CICB ) Competition takes place every three years and is hosted by a different member country.  As a founder member of CICB, the UK was proud to host the Competition in July 2011 at The Lowry, Manchester.

This high profile event attracted a truly international entry of 46 talented young dancers selected from across the UK, Malta, Italy, Spain, USA, Canada, Australia and Japan. A prestigious panel of adjudicators included Brenda Last, Mark Baldwin, Francesca Filpi, Richard Glasstone, Matthew Hawkins, David Lloyd, Errol Pickford, Tracy Tinker and Anita Young.  More information about this event and the Award Winners can be found at Competitions & Awards/CICB 2011

CICB Competition 2014 - Richmond,Virginia, USA

 The 2014 Competition will be hosted by Cecchetti USA (CUSA). The competition will be held in Richmond, Virginia from 7th - 9th August 2014 with the arrival date for competitors and coaches of Sunday 3rd August 2014.   Richmond is a lovely and historical city located within a few hours of Washington DC.  Classes will be located at the professional studios of Richmond Ballet, performances to be held at the beautiful Carpenter Theater at Richmond Center Stage. All participants will stay at the Crowne Plaza Richmond Downtown hotel located within a very short walk to both  locations. CUSA will concurrently hold its annual summer residential course at Richmond Ballet.
