The Cecchetti International Classical Ballet Competition takes place every three years and is hosted in a different country with young dancers from the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, the UK and Europe participating.  In the 2014 Competition dancers from major UK Vocational Schools achieved exceptional results and it is hoped that a very talented cohort of young dancers will represent the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Society Faculty, ISTD at the 2107 Competition.  Applicants are welcomed from students resident or training in the UK and those who resident or training in other countries who hold the appropriate ISTD qualifications.

BURSARY AWARDS

The Cecchetti Society Trust has generously agreed to provide a number of bursaries for students selected to attend the Competition to represent the Faculty.  It is anticipated there will be a minimum of 10 bursaries available and the Adjudicators will allocate these as they feel appropriate in the Junior and Senior categories.  The bursary will cover the cost of accommodation, food and a contribution to travel to Italy.  Please note that because funds are limited, the Adjudicators may not be able to offer support to all selected students and they would therefore need to meet their own expenses to attend the competition.
